August 29th (yesterday, I'm a day late)

Yesterday was my birthday. I turned seventeen and got a new digital camera and a Winnie the Pooh stuffed bear and a leather-bound journal and a cake covered in glazed strawberries. Also two pretty shirts and a CD.

It was quite yummy and nice.

School has started and it's not fun. I have to do RP. Which sucks. I have to do RESEARCH. On boring stuff like plants and chemicals.

On the bright side I have lit mag again. We got the gold rating and nine hundred and eighty-five points out of one thousand for last year's. I looked over the critique, which was arranged in check pluses, checks, check minuses, and exes, which means you don't have the certain feature at all. The visuals section? It was the ONLY SECTION that got ALL check pluses.

So, yes. I'm very proud of that.

So, as it turns out, I thought UMCP's special consideration deadline was December 1st, but as it turns out I only have a week to do the entire application. OOPS.

Yuck. That sucks. I still have to look up all the application deadlines for the schools I want to go to, actually. I should get on that.

You should consider Towson. I went to their open house yesterday, and they're a neat school. You can get a free ride to Baltimore's inner harbor from there if you're a student (which means you could to go to Charm City Cupcakes~), and their resident buildings are secure as all get-out. They're my fallback school, but I wouldn't feel like I was settling for less if I went there. Their deadline for priority applications is December 1st instead of November 1st, which is where I got confused for UMCP's deadline.

And, besides, you already know part of the campus from DI. ;)

Yeah, that's one of the places I'm applying to as well. It's probably going to be my fallback. Megan and Shannon are applying there too, right?
